The Brain Dynamics Toolbox is a graphical tool for simulating bespoke systems of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs), Delay Differential Equations (DDEs) and Stochastic Differential Equations (SDEs) in Matlab. It combines the power of Matlab's numerical solvers with an intuitive graphical interface for rapid visualisation and parameter exploration.
The toolbox is intended for the types of dynamical systems that typically arise in computational neuroscience. Specifically initial value problems with potentially large parameter sets, such as network connectivity matrices. The right-hand sides of the equations are implemented as user-defined functions using the same conventions as the existing Matlab ODE and DDE solvers. The toolbox automatically constructs graphical controls for each system parameter and recomputes the forward simulation whenever a parameter value is altered. 

The toolbox ships with a suite of standard graphical plotting tools (time portraits, phase portraits, etc) and custom plots can be added at any time thanks to its modular software architecture. The toolbox also includes a command-line interface so that the models can be automated in user-defined scripts.
